What is Europe really like for African migrants? And why don’t Africans in Africa know about this? A mix of investigative journalism, human portraits, funny reports and music, Surprising Europe is a revealing nine-part magazine style TV series about migrant life in Europe, from an African perspective.

African reporters dive into personal and moving stories of Africans all over Europe, covering topics from mixed marriage to how undocumented migrants get access to healthcare. The Ugandan photojournalist Ssuuna Golooba, initiator of Surprising Europe, reports about hilarious subjects like laughter therapy and a dog hotel. And music clips specially made for the series by engaged African musicians, complement what is a one-of-a-kind programme.

For African migrants, the Surprising Europe TV series and the accompanying community website is a platform to air their views on life in Europe. For European audiences, the series holds up a refreshing and confronting mirror to their own society.

Worldwide the series can be seen on Al Jazeera English in weekly instalments on Mondays 10.30 PM, Tuesdays 9.30 AM., Wednesdays on 3.30 AM, and Thursdays 4.30 PM GMT

Today europe is better immagine than experiencing, because the pains and huddles of europe are greater than the so called economic miracle that we came to see.but if you are here already make a good use of ur time, cos life is too short to be wasted for non profitable venture.
