A Nigerian man, married to an Austrian national, was arrested while traveling through the Netherlands with a valid Schengen visa and deported to Nigeria. There is clear evidence that basic rights were violated and that there were incidences of police abuse.
Many emigrants, through sacrifice, struggle and hard work, have contributed significantly to the well-being of their families.
