I think if someone didn't commit a crime they should not be locked up. And I'd approach an illegal status not as a crime. Instead of putting people in special jail centres the Goverment could let them work. Earn money for their stay here, but in human conditions.

For years, governments have been trying stop immigrants from coming to Europe through various means. However, all the attempts have failed. If the attempts have failed, it means the answer to the question is wrong. The first thing they ought to know is to know the deeper reasons why people travel. When the know the reason, they can then help eliminate the problem. Without knowing the problem, nothing will change. It is like killing a mosquitoes--more will come. I believe that we are in a new era--this means that some ideas need to be thrown away, and embrace new ones.
its a international human right to any human been who fear or are seeing a better live to travel in an country where he can have a second chance! so why ! put him in jail well that he did not steal but are asking help and assitance!
thank you@ to be right!
I live in north america so i can't relate to non documented migrants but i could only image their hardship and i think it's not a solution to just lock them up. This system is unjust and should be revised! I think that this site and the people here are doing something good, creating a dialogue and informing the african people of what lays ahead if they wanna journey to europe and that the answer for their misery in africa isnt in coming to europe but creating solutions in african to eliminate the cycle of poverty and ignorance. I think this mentality that are problems cant be solved and that we are doomed needs to change and i think the solution is through educating the youths, the new generation needs hope and through HOPE africa will PREVAIL!!
For the simple and obvious reason that any individual who hasn’t committed a crime should not be imprisoned. That this is actually the reality, also in my country (the Netherlands), deeply embarrasses me and goes directly against all the morals and values that I possess. Plus it does not reduce any immigration flow to begin with so it can also be called ineffective. It’s clear to see that it is way easier for our governments to lock up innocent people than to put in the money and effort to tackle the root of the problem. I’ll never see that happen. It hardly feels like my country anymore....
