Should you feel embarrassed when money isn't coming in big time?

This question is raised in Episode 2 from the Surprising Europe TV Series: Dreams & Expectations. Shame is what keeps many Africans in Europe, they don't dare to face their families back home without having made a fortune. What do you think of that; should you feel embarrassed when money isn't coming in big time?

Shamed?!

I understand this topic. I feel ashamed that I haven’t seen my country for 21 years.. The main reason is because I don’t have my Masters Diploma yet and because I have not build a strong career yet in Europe. But, I do not let the shame stop me! I train myself by following training courses, I educate myself and I make a lot of friends with the locals (white business man). To get noticed by them, you have to talke and think like them.

why should i feel embarrassed? the problem with africans is that they dont know that they can become rich in their respective countries, africa is a developing market and that is where the money is but because of the rush to travel out they end up wasting their precious opportiunities in the so called developed world working 3- 4 jobs a day where as in their respective countries they cant do that.
